In the digital transformation era, educational administration practicum programs play a critical role in preparing future educational leaders with the competencies required for effective school management and leadership. As educational institutions increasingly integrate technology and innovation into their operations, practicum experiences must evolve to reflect contemporary professional demands and 21st-century leadership standards. However, gaps often exist between the current practicum conditions and the desired quality standards necessary for developing competent educational administrators. This study investigated the current and desired conditions of the educational administration practicum among graduate students at the Graduate School, Payap University, aiming to propose strategies for quality enhancement. A mixed-methods research design was employed, combining quantitative survey data with qualitative feedback and observations. Participants included graduate students, supervising instructors, and educational administrators. The quantitative findings revealed that the overall current condition of the practicum was rated at a high level (x = 4.37), while the desired condition was rated at the highest level (z = 4.75). The key areas identified for improvement included the development of digital-based practicum systems, enhanced communication between universities and training institutions, and the implementation of clear evaluation and feedback mechanisms.
These improvements are expected to elevate the overall quality and effectiveness of educational administration practicum programs, thereby contributing to professional excellence and leadership capacity in the field of educational administration.
