With the theme “Awareness, Inclusiveness, Accessibility in a Changing World – Learn how to take action supporting People with Disabilities in a world with geopolitical, climate, and immigration changes.”  WDRC 2024 brought together academics, professionals, policymakers, and advocates to foster collaboration and drive impactful change in disability inclusion.

Key topics included disability rights, assistive technology, inclusive education, mental health, and accessible design. The event featured keynote addresses from international experts, panel discussions, and workshops aimed at empowering participants, particularly from the Global South, to enhance their contributions to the field. Aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, WDRC 2024 emphasized the importance of global cooperation in creating inclusive societies.

The conference's success underscores its role in shaping a more inclusive and accessible future for individuals with disabilities worldwide.
